PRDC has commissioned a in Somanahalli Industrial Area, Maddur, Mandya district, Karnataka on 17th September, 2016.
GM Inc., a leading company in Karnataka wanted to lead the way in embracing renewable energy by implementing a solar power plant to power their manufacturing facility and also sell the excess power to Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Company, Mysore.
PRDC Team undertook detailed engineering and evolved a customised solution, which focused on efficiently optimizing available rooftop space and the existing electrical network within the premises. Also, PRDC managed the implementation of the project for the client and ensured its commissioning within 2 months of the “go ahead” including obtaining of all the clearances. The rooftop system design has saved the land space and paved the way to use unutilised roof and earn a revenue of more than Rs. 12 lakhs per annum. The client has secured debt for the project from KSFC. GM Inc will be able to recover the investment in the project in about 6 years whereas the project has an economic life of 25 years.
