At times of economic slump the worst hit sector was IT and ITES. Even IT giants like Infosys and Wipro fell prey to it. PRDC being associated with the ever growing power sector has never been hit by market slump in its almost one and a half decade in the industry. As we all know, power is the backbone of a country’s economy and that is among one the key factors for PRDC’s unprecedented success. Govt of India has ambitious plans to add more generation and to maintain the efficiency of existing power transmission and distribution facilities in the country. In this context, PRDC is expanding to meet the demand and supply gap that is widening day by day due to various factors such as brain-drain, unawareness, getting engaged with wrong domain etc.

 

As part of expansion plans, recruitment drives are being conducted. On February 20, 2010, on campus written tests were conducted at M/s. SJBIT, Kengeri, Bangalore. Tests were restricted to only BE, Electrical & Electronics engineering students. Response was good with over 400 candidates’ participation from several colleges in and around Bangalore. Papers were evaluated on the spot and 150 candidates were shortlisted. Personal interviews will be scheduled shortly. Cooperation from the institution, its Principal, Directors and especially Mr. Gurucharan, placement officer was excellent. PRDC is thankful to all the facilities and hospitality extended by the college authorities. PRDC appreciates the aspiring candidates’ enthusiasm in associating with it.
